Artist StatementThere is a realm far beyond the world we can see and touch. It is a place of beauty, magic and horror. As an artist, I choose to explore this realm and bring all its wonders to the viewer. My work is filled with the influences of fantasy, science, metaphysics, fashion, fetish and goth culture. The world I explore is at the edge of our consciousness, in the hazy twilight where reality gives way to dreamland. If the viewer takes an image or concept with them and it becomes a momentary diversion from the mundane, then I consider my work a success. I am interested in learning and applying multiple disciplines in achieving my work. I am an artist first and foremost, but within that aegis I take photos, make fine art prints, do pen & ink illustration, design web sites and craft multi-media work. I see no separation between any of this work; it is all ultimately an expression of my art.
