Money Talk$/Art Walks

Money Talk$ was held on Saturday, March 8. IAO's newest benefit proved to be an exciting way for many to add some affordable art to their collections.

The energy was high as collectors bought Money Talks tickets for four pools, $100, $75, $50, plus an impromptu $25 pool. There were more than 160 pieces to choose from.

Over the course of the four drawings, beginning with the $100 pool, our MC Tracy Townsend randomly chose Money Talks tickets. While the crowd counted down, collectors holding matching tickets had 30 seconds to pick an artwork from the remaining pieces on the wall.

photograph of Money Talk$ event Nearly 100 artists donated work to this fundraising event. There were a few anomalies, but most artwork was no larger than 8.5” x 11”, unframed and unmatted, in any two-dimensional media on paper—including drawings, monoprints, and photographs. The artist’s work was not clearly identified until after the work was sold.
