Individual Artists of Oklahoma is a grass roots contemporary arts organization. Our mission is to support and celebrate the work of both emerging and established Oklahoma artists who are experimenting in all media, including visual art, poetry, film, video and performance. We have a 30 year track record of curating and presenting thought provoking exhibitions that expand the ideals and expectations of artists and patrons alike, while opening a dialogue on relevant social issues. By providing an essential venue for all forms of contemporary artistic expression, IAO stimulates the cultural and economic growth of our community.

Upcoming Gallery Exhibit: Diane Jackson - A Retrospective
August 13-September 4
IAO will host a retrospective exhibit to celebrate the photography of the late Diane Jackson, a long-time resident of Oklahoma City. An intrepid world traveler, Diane captured artful black and white images of the people she encountered in diverse settings. Her kindness and sense of humor, combined with a genuine empathy for others, was the key to her ability to record vulnerable moments. The photographs show her intense love for children and animals, but the images are always sensitive and never cloying.
